How Are Our Custom Domed Decals Made?
Domed decals are created by applying a thick layer of polyurethane directly over a standard decal or sticker material in a variety of ways:
- Manual application
- Syringe application
- Automated machinery and equipment
We use automated machinery to pour and apply the liquid in order to minimize human error and create the highest-quality decal possible for clients.
The clear liquid is poured, spread evenly to the edges of the decal, and then given time to solidify.
Once the process is complete, the decal will have a three-dimensional look, while the graphic will have advanced protection from UV damage and other elements like solvents, chemicals, or compounds.
We produce three unique types of domed decals.:
Crystal Dome Decals
They get their three-dimensional look by pouring a polyurethane later onto a flat decal and letting it set. The most popular of our domed decal products, the crystal appearance is sharp, durable, and catches the eye of people from far away. You can even add a crystal, three-dimensional appearance to only part of your decal's art.
- Thickness: .070” +/- .010” (1.75mm).
- Decal size: Maximum – 100 square inches.
- Color: Any color is possible, with color-matching available. Solid, transparent or metallic is also available.
- Substrates: Polyester, aluminum, acrylics, vinyl, pressure-sensitive paper, polycarbonates.
- Adhesives: Our standard adhesive works best for most applications, but stronger adhesives are available.

Super Dome Decals
To create super domes, we use a similar manufacturing process but create a more flexible 3-D decal that is able to conform to almost any contoured surface. They are of the highest quality and are used as the branded element on machines worth a quarter of a million dollars.
- Thickness: .070” +/- .010” (1.75mm).
- Decal size: Maximum – 3.937” x 9.843” / Minimum - .275” x .275”.
- Color: Any color is possible, with color-matching available. Solid, transparent or metallic is also available. Random patterns, gradations, and half-tones are possible..
- Adhesives: Our standard adhesive works best for most applications, but stronger adhesives are available. Available with a wide range of finishes, including chrome, gold, silver, brass, copper, wood and all colors.

Silver Dome Decals
Silver dome decals offer a great alternative when searching for a three-dimensional decal with low tooling expenses. This environmentally-friendly decal has a mold-injected appearance with a mirror or chrome finish.
- Thickness:. 0787” to .2362” (2mm to 6mm).
- Decal size: 22.75” x 9”.
- Color: Any color is possible, with color-matching available. Solid, transparent or metallic is also available.
- Temperature Rating: Depending on the adhesive used, silver dome decals can withstand temperatures between -22 degrees Fahrenheit and 176 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Adhesives: Our standard adhesive works best for most applications, but stronger adhesives are available.
