FLYWHEEL NEWS: Flywheel Brands’ New Office Building Nearly Complete

HIXSON, TENN., Sept. 10 – Flywheel Brands, Inc. broke ground recently on a new 6,000 sq. ft. office building in Hixson, Tenn.

The one-acre site is located at 2111 Hamill Road, where Flywheel Vice President of Client Development Bart Simpson said his brand marketing agency will develop a modern structure that satisfies the ongoing growth of the company.

“The overall concept of the structure is to embody efficiency and productivity in all aspects,” Simpson said. “The building itself incorporates several sustainability features to minimize energy and resource consumption.”

Productivity elements have also been strategically incorporated into the plans, which was designed by River Street Architecture. Several common lounge areas will be positioned to promote collaboration, while a large meeting room will be utilized for team trainings as well as client visits. A multimedia studio will also be constructed to support the company’s continued production of educational and marketing content, including its own podcast.

Near the front entrance, a showroom will display the newest, on-trend promotional products, custom apparel and trade show display elements. Additionally, the design includes a full-size kitchen and hospitality space for team members and guests, and outdoor seating accessible by two garage door partitions.

“Creating a space to support the growth and needs of our team has been the foundation of this project,” Simpson said. “The greater impact we aim to achieve is an economic development venture that revitalizes an overlooked lot in a high-traffic intersection. By erecting a building that promotes creativity and innovation, we also hope to increase the appeal of Hixson as a place for small business owners to launch their own entrepreneurial endeavors.”

Construction on the building is ongoing but set to be ready in the next few weeks as spring 2019 approaches.

What Decal Material Lasts Longest Outdoors? A Spec-by-Spec Comparison

What Decal Material Lasts Longest Outdoors? A Spec-by-Spec Comparison

The longest-lasting outdoor decal is cast vinyl under a UV-stable overlaminate, which 3M rates at 8 years for its standard printed-and-laminated construction. Polyester with a polyester overlaminate runs 5 to 8 years. Polymeric calendered vinyl falls well short of both, and economy monomeric film can be finished inside a year. But the material is only half the answer — orientation, climate, and how the decal fails matter as much as what it's made of.

Kiss-Cut vs Butt-Cut Labels: How to Choose (With Spec Table)

Kiss-Cut vs Butt-Cut Labels: How to Choose (With Spec Table): Choose kiss-cut labels when they'll be peeled by hand off a backer or fed from a roll or sheet, or when the shape is anything but a plain rectangle. Choose butt-cut when the label is rectangular and volume, speed, and unit cost decide the job. Kiss-cut buys flexibility; butt-cut buys throughput. Everything below is detail on that one rule.
